This is my take on the timeless remedy developed by Rosemary Gladstar. This is the tea you want to have in your cupboard at all times so you can be ready to make a batch as soon as you feel the first sign of cold or flu symptoms. Out in the Cold is formulated with yarrow, elderflower and peppermint to support the body's fever response, astringe watery eyes and runny noses and to support the immune system in fighting off virus and keeping inflammation at bay. I also add elderberry to my blend for added taste, antiviral and antioxidant properties and boneset to further support the body’s natural fever response while fighting off a virus.

To use: Steep 1 tablespoon of tea in 8oz hot water for at least 20 minutes, up to overnight. Begin drinking this tea at the earliest signs of cold or flu and drink frequently, throughout illness. Consider making this by the quart or half gallon so you have it readily available while you are sick and don’t have to steep a new cup each time you need it.
